Meraviglia Class
MSC Meraviglia, MSC Bellissima, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa, MSC Euribia
The workhorse premium class — 4,500–6,300 guests, Cirque du Soleil at Sea, and the largest Yacht Club decks outside of World Class. Euribia (2023) is the newest and greenest.
Seaside Class
MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape
Designed around outdoor living — waterfront promenades, glass-floored catwalks, and the strongest deployment in the Caribbean. Seascape (2022) is the newest sister.
Fantasia Class
MSC Fantasia, MSC Splendida, MSC Divina, MSC Preziosa
The original Yacht Club ships (2008–2013). Smaller, more classical Italian styling, and a very loyal following. Fares are consistently the lowest in the fleet.
Musica & Lirica Classes
MSC Musica, Orchestra, Poesia, Magnifica, Lirica, Opera, Armonia, Sinfonia
The older mid-size ships (2003–2010). No Yacht Club on the Lirica quartet; Musica-class has a compact Yacht Club retrofit. Best for value-driven itineraries, not for the flagship experience.
Explora Journeys
Explora I, Explora II (Explora III–VI in build)
MSC's separate luxury brand — all-suite, all-inclusive, no Yacht Club because the entire ship is effectively one. Priced against Regent and Silversea, not standard MSC.

The Four Experience Tiers
Every MSC sailing is sold across four fare tiers. These are not cabin categories — they are experience packages that determine everything from breakfast service to pool deck access:
Bella
Entry fare. Guaranteed cabin type only — the room is assigned at check-in. Minimal flexibility.
Fantastica
Cabin choice, breakfast in room, and modest onboard benefits. The standard mainstream fare.
Aurea
Includes drinks package, thermal spa access, and premium locations. The best value in the mainstream tiers.
MSC Yacht Club
The ship-within-a-ship. Suite-only, private restaurant, private pool deck, private lounge, 24-hour butler service, and unlimited premium drinks. Effectively a six-star product on a three-star fare structure.
The MSC Yacht Club, Explained
The Yacht Club is the reason serious travellers book MSC. It is a fully enclosed ship-within-a-ship on the forward decks of every modern MSC vessel — with its own restaurant, lounge, sundeck, pool, and dedicated concierge and butler staff. Access is keycard-only, and Yacht Club guests retain full run of the rest of the ship whenever they want it.
A genuinely private enclave
Yacht Club occupies the forward decks with keycard-only access. Private restaurant (Le Muse), private lounge (Top Sail), private sundeck with pool, hot tub, and grill. Nothing bleeds into the main ship.
Butler service on every suite
Unpacking, packing, in-suite dining, priority reservations, tender priority. The butler-to-guest ratio is closer to a luxury line than a mainstream one.
Everything is included
Premium drinks throughout the ship, specialty coffees, mini-bar restocked daily, room service, thermal spa access. The bill at the end of the cruise is genuinely close to zero.
The price gap is smaller than it looks
A Yacht Club Deluxe Suite is often only 2–2.5x the price of a standard balcony — and includes drinks, specialty dining, spa, and butler service that would cost more than the delta if purchased separately.
The Booking Play
For the flagship experience, book MSC World Europa, World America, or Euribia in the Yacht Club. These are the newest hulls with the most developed Yacht Club footprints — larger private decks, better dining venues, and the strongest butler service.
For value in the mainstream fleet, Aurea on a Meraviglia or Seaside-class ship is the sharpest play — drinks package and premium locations included, without the Yacht Club premium.
The one mistake to avoid: booking Bella on an older Lirica-class ship because the fare looked unbeatable. On MSC in 2026, the ship and the tier matter far more than the sticker price.
