    Viking River Cruises

The scale player in river cruising — adults-only, culture-led and standardised across more than 80 near-identical Longships.

    2009
    Gross tonnage
    ~2,700 GT
    Capacity
    189 guests

Viking Legend and Viking Prestige predate the Longship and retain the older centre-corridor layout, with cabins on both sides and a single forward lounge rather than an Aquavit Terrace.

They are marginally smaller and shallower than a Longship, which keeps them useful on low-water Danube stretches and on itineraries with tighter lock dimensions.

Viking Prestige was the first river vessel to run on liquefied natural gas, an early experiment that has since been overtaken but which still makes her one of the cleanest hulls in the fleet.

Cabins are slightly smaller than the Longship equivalent and there are no Explorer Suites, so fares generally sit below the standardised fleet for the same itinerary.
