Viking does not sell fare tiers. There is one fare, and the difference between guests is stateroom grade rather than entitlement — a structural break from the Bella/Fantastica/Aurea or Cruise Only/Have It All ladders used elsewhere in the market.
The fare covers a guided shore excursion in every port of call, all onboard dining including both speciality restaurants, beer, wine and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, 24-hour speciality coffee and tea, Wi-Fi, self-service laundry on ocean ships, the thermal suite in the Nordic Spa, and port charges and government taxes.
The paid list is short: the Silver Spirits beverage package for all-day spirits and cocktails, optional premium shore excursions, spa treatments, and pre- or post-cruise land extensions. There is no casino, no photo studio, and no art auction, which removes the three biggest upsell surfaces in mainstream cruising.
For like-for-like comparison against a mainstream premium line, price the competitor's fare plus a drinks package, plus Wi-Fi, plus one excursion per port, plus gratuities — that is the fair Viking comparison, and it is usually much closer than the headline numbers suggest.
