Silver Wind has been sailing since 1995 and was ice-strengthened in 2021, giving Silversea a hybrid vessel that runs classic luxury itineraries and polar voyages in the same year.
At 274 guests she is the most intimate ship in the classic fleet, with a space ratio comparable to a private yacht.
The 2021 conversion added hull strengthening, a Zodiac launch arrangement and expedition-team accommodation without removing the traditional luxury interior.
She alternates between Antarctica in the austral summer and the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Northern Europe in the northern season.
