    Part of the fleet

    Silversea Cruises

The broadest luxury fleet at sea — classic ships, the Nova-class newbuilds and a purpose-built expedition division reaching all seven continents.

    Introduced
    1994
    Gross tonnage
    17,400–36,000 GT
    Capacity
    274–608 guests

The classic ships are the vessels that built Silversea: Silver Wind (1995), Silver Shadow and Silver Whisper (2000–01) and Silver Spirit (2009), all extensively refitted.

They are smaller and more traditionally arranged than the Muse and Nova classes — a single main restaurant supplemented by La Terrazza, La Dame and a hot-rock grill — and many long-standing guests prefer them for exactly that reason.

Silver Wind was ice-strengthened in 2021, allowing her to work polar-adjacent itineraries alongside the expedition fleet.
