Quantum of the Seas entered service in November 2014 as the class originator and the first smart-ship in the Royal fleet. She is based year-round in Singapore as Royal's Southeast Asia flagship.

Quantum introduced the class-defining features — North Star, RipCord by iFly, SeaPlex, Two70, virtual balconies — that have carried through every subsequent Quantum-class ship.

Singapore deployment covers three- to seven-night itineraries to Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam and is the primary Royal Caribbean product for the Southeast Asian market.
