Oasis of the Seas entered service in December 2009 as the world's first Oasis-class ship and the vessel that redefined modern mega-ship cruising. Following the 2019 Royal Amplified refit she is now based at Cape Liberty (New York area) for Bermuda and Caribbean sailings.
Oasis introduced the seven-neighbourhood layout — Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, AquaTheater — that has defined every large Royal Caribbean ship built since. The 2019 refurbishment added The Ultimate Abyss, The Perfect Storm, and a modernised pool deck.
Cape Liberty deployment gives New York-area guests direct access to an Oasis-class ship without flying, and Oasis remains the Northeast US flagship of the Royal fleet.
