    The Haven

    Back to Norwegian Cruise Line

The Haven is the longest-running ship-within-a-ship product in mainstream cruising and still one of the best executed. It occupies the forward top decks and is reachable only by keycard-restricted lift.

Haven guests get a private restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, a dedicated lounge and bar, a private pool with a retractable roof on most ships, a sundeck with cabanas, and 24-hour butler and concierge service.

The practical value is throughput. Haven guests get priority embarkation and tender access, guaranteed reservations at speciality restaurants and shows, and their own space on the busiest sea days — which is the whole point on a 4,000-guest ship.

The Prima-class version is the strongest, with a standalone Haven structure, a much larger sundeck and the best suite layouts in the fleet. The Breakaway Plus version is a courtyard complex embedded in the superstructure.
