World Class is MSC's flagship ship class and the platform on which the line is being repositioned for the 2020s. The ships are LNG-powered, feature a distinctive glass-panelled promenade ("The Promenade") running the length of deck 6/7, and carry the most developed MSC Yacht Club enclave yet built — with its own restaurant, lounge, private pool deck, and dedicated concierge team.

Four World-class ships are planned. MSC World Europa debuted in 2022 and sails predominantly in the Mediterranean and Gulf. MSC World America launched in 2025 and became MSC's first Miami-homeported flagship. Two further sister ships (MSC World Asia, MSC World Atlantic) are scheduled for 2026-2027 delivery.

The class targets three guest segments simultaneously: mass-market families in the standard staterooms, a premium mid-tier via the Aurea experience, and near-luxury guests in the Yacht Club — with the physical ship configured so that each segment has meaningfully different spaces and doesn't spill into the others.
