MSC World America launched in April 2025 as the second ship of the World class and the first MSC vessel purpose-built for the North American market. She sails year-round seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Miami calling at Ocean Cay, MSC's private Bahamian island.
World America refines the World-class formula for a US audience. The Promenade is now divided into seven "districts" — including a new nightlife quarter and an expanded family district — that read as more thematically legible than the more European Promenade aboard World Europa. Overall stateroom count is broadly unchanged but the mix has been retilted toward balcony and larger family cabins, which sell better in the US market.
The Yacht Club is again the headline product. On World America it grows to more than 200 suites and adds a two-storey lounge with panoramic sea views, a dedicated pool bar, and an all-day Yacht Club dining room that opens onto the private sundeck. This is now the reference product against which US premium buyers evaluate NCL's Haven and Celebrity's Retreat.
The ship's most talked-about feature — beyond the Yacht Club — is the Cliffhanger, a swing ride cantilevered 50 metres over the side of the vessel on deck 20. It is not for everyone, but it is a definitive statement of the modern MSC formula: mass-market spectacle at deck level, near-luxury calm above it.
