MSC Fantasia launched in December 2008 as the largest ship in the world built by a European yard at the time and the first mainstream cruise vessel to feature a ship-within-ship suite enclave — the original MSC Yacht Club.
Fantasia's Yacht Club is smaller than the modern equivalents (roughly 70 suites) but structurally set the pattern: private lobby, dedicated keyed elevator, exclusive restaurant, pool deck and butler service — all in a physically separated forward area of the ship.
The wider ship remains a strong, well-maintained early-generation mega-ship following the fleet-wide MSC For Me refit, and typically runs Western Mediterranean itineraries in summer and Middle East (Dubai / Abu Dhabi) programmes in winter.
