Bella is MSC's entry-level fare tier and the reason the line so consistently undercuts its competitors on headline pricing. Booking Bella gets you onto the ship at the lowest price MSC publishes; what you give up is choice.
Bella cabins are allocated by the cruise line — you book a category, not a specific stateroom, and MSC assigns you a room within that category anywhere on the ship. Dining time is likewise assigned. There is no welcome package, no room service breakfast included, and no drinks package.
The upside is straightforward: on a value-per-euro basis, a Bella fare on a modern MSC ship is one of the cheapest ways to access a large modern cruise ship anywhere in the industry. All public spaces, most restaurants, entertainment, pools, and kids clubs are fully included — the tier restrictions only affect your cabin, your dining time, and your onboard perks.
For first-time cruisers testing the format, or for guests who plan to spend most of the day off the ship in port, Bella is often the correct financial choice — provided you accept that you may end up in a cabin location or dining time that isn't your first preference.
