Oosterdam entered service in August 2003 as the second Vista-class ship. She operates a Vancouver-based Alaska summer season and repositions to Sydney for Australia-New Zealand winter sailings.

The dual-hemisphere deployment makes Oosterdam one of HAL's most globally travelled ships and a regular on trans-Pacific repositioning voyages between Vancouver and Sydney.

Refurbishments have added Music Walk and updated the Pinnacle Grill and Tamarind restaurants.
