Koningsdam entered service in April 2016 as the class-defining first Pinnacle-class ship. She operates a Vancouver-based Alaska summer season and San Diego-based Mexican Riviera and Panama Canal sailings in winter.
Koningsdam introduced the Pinnacle-class design language — light-filled atrium, Music Walk complex, World Stage theatre — that became the platform for Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam.
Alaska summer deployment gives Vancouver-area guests one of the newest ships in the Alaska market with the full modern HAL product.
