TUI Group is a German-headquartered, dual-listed integrated tourism company operating hotels, airlines, tour operators, and three distinct cruise brands. The group is the parent of Marella Cruises (British-market, all-inclusive), TUI Cruises (Germany's premium mainstream line, jointly owned with Royal Caribbean Group), and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises (ultra-luxury and expedition).

For UK travellers TUI's most consequential brand is Marella — a mid-size, all-inclusive fleet sold through TUI's high-street and online travel-agency network. Ships are older second-hand hulls from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, refurbished and repositioned into a genuinely all-inclusive product priced against fly-cruise packages rather than premium newbuilds.

The group's structural advantage in cruising is distribution: TUI package holidays already move millions of British travellers a year and the Marella product is bundled into that same ecosystem — flights, transfers, and drinks included in one sterling-priced booking.
