Explora Journeys is the Aponte family's luxury play, built from scratch rather than acquired. The brand launched Explora I in 2023 and Explora II in 2024, with four further ships on order at Fincantieri including two LNG-powered vessels.
About Explora Journeys
Each ship carries 922 guests in 461 all-ocean-front suites, penthouses and residences — every accommodation has a private terrace, and the entry grade is a genuine suite rather than a balcony cabin with a curtain.
The dining estate is the widest in the luxury segment relative to guest count: nine venues including a Japanese-Mediterranean restaurant, a Latin-Asian grill, an anti-trattoria concept and a chef's table, all included except the top-tier tasting experience.
There is no formal night, no fixed sitting, no scheduled muster of activity. Public space per guest is among the highest afloat, with four pools including an indoor pool under a retractable roof and a 1,000-square-metre spa.
Fares are all-inclusive of dining, drinks including premium wines and spirits, gratuities, Wi-Fi and in-suite refreshments. Excursions and the top tasting menu are extra.

MSC Voyagers Club status is recognised for entry-level matching, which is useful for MSC Yacht Club regulars trialling the luxury brand.
