Both Emerald ocean yachts carry a marina platform that folds down from the stern whenever sea conditions allow — the facility that most distinguishes a yacht from a small cruise ship.
Equipment includes sea kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, snorkelling gear and a small fleet of tenders, all included in the fare with no hire charge.
A netted swim area is deployed alongside the platform, supervised by crew, and a bar service runs from the adjacent aft deck.
Because the yachts anchor rather than berth in many Adriatic and Greek calls, marina days are scheduled into a substantial proportion of itineraries rather than being an occasional bonus.
