Edge Class comprises Celebrity Edge (2018), Apex (2020), Beyond (2022), Ascent (2023) and Xcel (2025). The class is Celebrity's most consequential product initiative in a generation and the platform that redefined premium mainstream cruise design.
Beyond, Ascent, and Xcel form the Edge-plus generation — 20 metres longer than the original Edge and Apex, with an additional passenger deck, a materially expanded Retreat sundeck and Luminae, and refined interiors by design partners including Nate Berkus and Kelly Hoppen.
Signature spaces across the class include the Magic Carpet (cantilevered outdoor platform), Eden (aft observation venue with staging), the Grand Plaza atrium, Infinite Veranda cabins, and the three-deck Retreat suite complex. Edge Class ships are Celebrity's most popular bookings and typically command a fare premium of 15-25% over Solstice-class equivalents.
