Celebrity Edge entered service in November 2018 as the first ship in the Edge series and the most consequential premium cruise design of the last decade. Refreshed in 2024, she remains the price-leader of the class.
Edge introduced the Magic Carpet — a cantilevered orange platform running up and down the ship's starboard side — the Infinite Veranda cabin (a balcony that opens into the stateroom via a bi-fold window), and a rethought Grand Plaza atrium that became the platform's social heart.
The Retreat suite complex here is smaller than on later Beyond- and Ascent-generation ships but includes the private Retreat Sundeck and Luminae restaurant introduced with the class. Eden — the aft observation venue turned bar-theatre — is one of the most distinctive spaces at sea.
For guests who want the full Edge-class experience at the lowest fare, Celebrity Edge remains the correct booking. She sails predominantly Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale and seasonal Mediterranean programmes.
