    Avalon Panorama Suite

    Back to Avalon Waterways

Avalon's Panorama Suite is a layout decision rather than a luxury tier. By turning the bed to face the window wall, the line changed what a guest sees on waking — which on a river ship is the entire point.

Suites run to roughly 18 to 19 square metres, around 30 per cent larger than the European river standard, with an eleven-foot sliding glass door that opens the whole cabin front.

Because the glass wall replaces a conventional balcony, the floor area stays inside the cabin — usable in poor weather in a way a step-out balcony is not.

Fittings include a marble bathroom with a large shower, an L-shaped sofa, a desk and Egyptian cotton bedding, with Royal Suites on the Envision class reaching roughly 28 square metres.

Panorama Suites occupy the two upper decks; the lower deck carries smaller Deluxe staterooms with fixed windows at a lower fare.
